The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration, which is responsible for workplace safety, is conducting an investigation into the death of a 63-year-old man who was found dead inside of an industrial machine at a food processing plant where he worked.

New Jersey authorities responded on Monday morning to a report of an unconscious man inside a kettle cooker at a Cumberland County food processing facility, the department said in a statement to PEOPLE.

The 63-year-old man, Dale, was pronounced dead at the scene. He is survived by two daughters.

OSHA has opened an investigation relating to Dale’s death. The organization did not respond when contacted for comment on Friday.

Social media is full of tributes from family and friends to Devilli. He was called a “damn good man” by some, showing how much he’ll be missed.
