by Zachary Jay, Writer StaffA young man was taken to the hospital after a serious industrial accident pinned him under heavy machinery in Oakland County on Friday morning.
The victim, a 22-year-old man, was caught under a machine at 8:30 a.m on Sep 30, 2022. at Bob Rousseaux’s excavating company in Commerce Township, close to Walled Lake.
The man was taken out from under the equipment and rushed to the hospital.
Langton spoke to the Commerce Township Fire Chief, Jim Dundas, and was told that the victim was “crushed” under the machine.
Dundas explained, “It’s like a road , hydrolytic machine. Very heavy duty, ” of the equipment that trapped the man. “Our guys pulled him out and transported him to Providence. He is in extremely serious condition there.”
Langton said that the man was working on repairs to the machine when he had an accident.
The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a recent situation. No other details were released at this time.
