Winston-Salem North Carolina is a city in the U.S. state of North Carolina. According to the 2010 census, the city had a population of 187,209. It is the second largest city in North Carolina after Charlotte. The area has a long history of textile and furniture production, and is still home to a number of textile mills. As a result, the area is also home to a large number of machinery accidents.
