On October 2, 2020, a forklift operator was adjusting the shackle on the back end of the forklift connected to a train of kiln carts when a front-end loader pushed the kiln carts from the opposite end. The forklift operator was pinched between the forklift and the kiln carts and both legs were surgically amputated below the knee.

A separator operator in training was loading chick buggies onto the chain conveyor of a separator machine. The employee noticed a crooked tray on a buggy entering the separator and placed his right foot on the chain conveyor to reach into the machine and straighten the tray. The next buggy moved forward and caught the employee's leg against the conveyor fracturing his tibia and fibula near the ankle.

He received first and second degree burns on his right and left thighs, lower body, right and left arms, abdomen, chest, and left ear and was hospitalized.

The employee was hospitalized with a skull fracture.
