As he tried to dislodge a pallet that was sticking up out of the top of the box, it suddenly came free. He stumbled backward, then fell off the box to the ground, suffering a cut on the left side of the head and a concussion.

An employee was carrying a bucket of hot roofing tar. He was walking to the back of the building when the wind blew a tarp into his path and onto his feet. The employee sustained fractures to the right knee and left ankle, and his left heel was shattered.

As the second employee was moving seed, a piece of ice on the tarp covering the pile was dislodged and slid down the tarp, striking the retaining wall and sending pieces into the air. On March 15, 2017, at approximately 7:30 a.m., an employee was injured while checking the function of a pump being used to transfer oil from a tank to a compressor station engine. The pump was being heated and a tarp had been placed over the pump in an effort to hold heat due to the outdoor freezing temperatures. The employee reached under the tarp and made contact with a moving piston inside an air exhaust port resulting in the amputation of the right index fingertip.
