On March 15, 2019, at 1530, two employees noticed smoke from the sawdust bin. The two employees attempted to move the sawdust in the bin to the ground via an auger system. Thirty minutes later, the employees opened the lower hatch. A blast of fire shot from the hatch, severely burning the two men. The first employee suffered burns on the neck, face, and hands. The second employee suffered burns on the chest and stomach area.

An employee was attempting to push chunks of ice/sawdust/bark into the bucket of a skid steer. In an attempt to gain leverage, the employee grabbed the bucket of the skid steer. At the same time, the equipment operator tilted the bucket. The employee's fingers were then caught between the bucket and a metal support beam, resulting in the amputation of four right-hand fingers at about the second knuckle.

On July 21, 2015, at approximately 8:30 p.m., an employee was sweeping up sawdust and carrying a paint can at the ECG Crankshaft mill in Sharon, Pennsylvania. Conductors were sticking out of the metal conduit beneath a saw table at the time. The employee reached down to pick up the paint can, which then contacted the live conduit. The can exploded, burning the employee's right forearm. The employee was hospitalized overnight.
