At about 7:00 p.m. on August 3, 2021, an employee was removing laser-cut parts from a sheet of steel that was positioned on a conveyor belt. A magnetic hoist was being used to lift a part from the sheet when the magnet momentarily lifted the metal conveyor belt from the frame of the conveyor. The employee's hand was resting on the conveyor frame, and when the conveyor belt separated from the magnet it fell onto the employee's hand, partially amputating a finger. | |||||
