The employee's left thumb was caught between the base ring and the inside of the pump ferrule housing, and was amputated at the first knuckle from the tip.

As she attempted to remove this lid, her right index fingertip was pinched between the lid stomper and the rotating table (nest plates), resulting in the amputation of the fingertip right above the nail bed.
