Employees were chip sealing a road. Two employees were working from the ground, moving a pile of chips, when a dump truck struck one of them as it backed up. The employee suffered a broken leg and was hospitalized.

An employee was on a clam boat trying to tie a rope to a disabled oyster boat. A wave hit the clam boat and the employee lost his balance and fell. His right hand and thumb were caught and lacerated between the two boats.

He was trying to loosen clamps or bolts when the belt started and the employee's right leg was caught in the belt opening resulting in amputation of the employee's right foot.
