The employee sustained multiple injuries including a compressed fracture with retropulsion at the L2 vertebra, a pelvic fracture, and a non-displaced sacral alar fracture.

A two-man team was adjusting an exposed metal stud wall at a new construction site. Another employee in an aerial lift located on one side of the exposed metal stud wall was on his way back down to ground level and hit a piece of electrical conduit. Upon hitting the piece of conduit, the conduit nudged the exposed metal stud wall and moved the wall. When the wall moved it amputated the left ring finger of an employee who was at ground level and on the other side of the exposed metal wall.
