An employee was making his rounds to verify the mill was shut down when he noticed a wood block lodged in the trim/block conveyor underneath the trimmer. When employee moved the wood block, the conveyor belt started and his finger was caught between the block and the belt causing an amputation to the end of the right ring finger.

An employee was oiling the conveyor chains at the end of the main saw roll-case (conveyor) near the lumber backstop. When lumber from the main saw reaches the end of the roll-case conveyor near the backstop, the lumber trips a lever arm limit switch, activating a lumber sweep that pushes the lumber onto a perpendicular conveyor.
