An employee was removing a salvageable part from a forklift that was being decommissioned and removed. The part was a 2"x3"x6' steel block. When he cut the part away from the forklift using a torch, it fell to the ground and struck his right foot on the metatarsal area (behind the steel toe cap), fracturing it.
