On or about June 27, 2016, at 1:30 p.m., an employee was proofing an underground 1.25" polyduct when a blowing gun blew out of the line due to built-up back pressure. The employee had been standing to the side of the polyduct to be out of the line of fire. When the blow gun came out of the duct, the employee stepped over to pick up the gun to turn the air off and the blow dart then came out of the duct, striking him on the right shin.
