The employee landed in a ditch and suffered a compound fracture of the leg. The ladder was at an approximately 40-degree angle when the employee was thrown from it.

An employee was removing a pump from a roller machine. He took his gloves off to remove bolts. The 86-lb. pump slipped; he went to grab it, and his finger was sheered off between the pump and the frame of the machine.
