An employee was replacing a residential septic system using an excavator. He placed his left hand on the bucket of the excavator to gain leverage as he moved an object with his foot. His force against the bucket caused the bucket to move. The movement of the bucket created a pinch point between the bucket and "thumb" of the bucket. His left ring finger was caught and crushed in the pinch point. |
