An employee was helping to remove a large, damaged 30-foot-high by 4-foot-wide insulated metal building panel from a structure using a mobile telehandler equipped with a vacuum attachment. The telehandler unit retracted the loosened panel from the structure and set it on the ground with its small dimension (4 feet) on the ground. At this point, the panel was standing 30 feet straight into the air when it detached quickly from the vacuum and fell on the injured employee, breaking his right femur.
