An employee was walking in the rain and observed an aluminum container on the ground. The employee picked it up and attempted to see if there was anything in the container. The top came off and exposed the pellets inside to the rain. The pellets inside the container were highly reactive to water and exploded when the rain entered the container. The employee suffered burns to the eyes.
