An employee was loading sticks of material into a multi-saw when a stick became jammed as it was being fed it into the saw blade area. She opened a side door hatch to access the feed compartment and used her fingers to try and adjust the jammed stick. The machine’s pneumatic feeding system pushed air into the material feed compartment, which then pushed the stick and the employee’s left index finger into the rotating saw blades.
