An employee was attempting to open the door to a 30 yard cardboard container and lost control of the door handle after removing the locking pin. Due to the nature of the door closing mechanism (a locking fulcrum) the door handle to these types of containers can have some tension on it when opening. The container wall struck the employee resulting in blunt force trauma to his left cheek/eye socket and a broken nose.
