An employee was unloading tires from a truck at the transfer station. The employee opened a box on the truck to dump the tires and when he opened the door, a tire came loose from an elevated position and struck his left leg. The employee sustained a broken tibia and fibula.

While removing a piece of trim after a cut, the tip of his right third finger was caught in an opening in the paper clamp as the control was released. His hand followed the clamp up and the fingertip contacted the retracted blade. The employee suffered a fingertip amputation.

An employee got out of a garbage truck to loosen a turnbuckle on the back of the truck. Another truck exiting the dump stopped to talk. As the exiting truck began to move again, the turnbuckle popped. The employee stepped backwards (towards exiting truck) to regain balance. The employee's foot was run over by the rear axle of the exiting truck.
