An employee was sweeping next to the wash pad rail system around 7:40 a.m. An aerial lift (enclosed with tarp) used for abrasive blasting stopped to drive a short distance to a new area. The employee grabbed the tarp to move it out of the way, and the employee's foot got caught and was struck, requiring hospitalization.

An employee was preparing paint in the stern thruster room of a vessel tied up to the pier. He had to kneel and crawl on steel surfaces. He wore knee pads, but not all of the time. His left knee became sore, and he was diagnosed with bursitis with a possible infection.
