Flammable condensate leaked from the plumbing at a hammer union on ground level going to the condensate tank. On August 3, 2017, at approximately 9:00 a.m., an employee was tending a well while standing between two gas production units approximately 15 feet from a sand separator. At that time, a threaded pipe that was going into the top of the sand separator blew apart. The pipe separated at a 90 degree elbow and released approximately 2,300 lbs. of pressure.
