A maintenance employee was performing daily inspections on the Dominator Ride. He attached a fall protection device to the carriage of the ride and rode the carriage to the top, then stepped off of the carriage and onto an inspection catwalk. He contacted personnel on the ground to lower the carriage so he could inspect the ride cables.
