Clearwater is a city on the Gulf of Mexico in Pinellas County, Florida, United States. As of the 2010 census, the population was 207,723. Clearwater is included in the Tampa–St. Petersburg–Clearwater, FL Metropolitan Statistical Area. Clearwater is home to the Clearwater Marine Aquarium and the Gilchrist State Forest. The city has been nicknamed “The Sunshine City” because of its prolonged sunshine hours and clear waters.
