Isaiah, of North Whitehall Township, died from “multiple traumatic injuries” that he received Tuesday afternoon when he was partly pulled into a commercial wood chipper.
The teen’s clothing got caught on machinery at the construction site, according to ABC affiliate WPVI-TV.
Isaiah died of injuries on the way to the hospital, according to a report filed by the Pennsylvania State Police.
At the request of the coroner, who has ruled the teen’s death to have been an accident.
WPVI-TV reported that crews had been removing trees in the area for several days. A homeowner told the news station that they were looking to have 10 trees removed.
A news outlet reported that Isaiah was injured on the job when she was working for a tree removal company.
The anonymous neighbor said that seeing the accident was “very unsettling”.
“My heart just goes out to that poor family. Just what that teen went through,” the neighbor said, offering her condolences to the teen’s family.
“What a horrible thing to have happen to someone so young,” she added.
